Children's Ministries and Mentoring International ~ 2016 Retreat Photos

The 2016 22nd Annual Children's Retreat took place in Orlando Florida. The Retreat Resort was the beautiful family resort of Orange Lake Country Club (HolidayInnVacationClub). It was rainy and overcast the first couple of days but the excitment of the children could not be dimmed.

The Retreat Group attended Easter Sunday Services at The Rock Church 192 Irlo Bronson Highway. The depiction of the resurrection in song and drama was very moving and gave us a taste of our future with Jesus our Lord and Savior. We were blessed to connect with Pastor Kersche Darville at Rock Church and he and his family joined us for Sunday Lunch at the Golden Coral. A scrumptous meal was enjoyed by all. Afterwhich activities at the resort were utilized.

Our days started with praise and worship; prayer and a fitting word from Pastor Charles. The afternoons were filled with adventure - parks, shopping, and resort activities. A sample is below -

Monday was rainy in the morning but the afternoon was sunny and the group enjoyed the resort's lazy river adventure before going out to enjoy a meal together. Tuesday we spent the day enjoying the Holy Land Experience Park. The live dramas, shows, museum and models were filled with everything 'Holy Land'. The walking tour through the scriptorium was very educational as we were engrossed in the journey of sacrifice to translate the bible. The sacrifices of William Tnydall, Martin Luther, and others were extolled and the exhibits told their story of horror and death and triumph in translating God's word for the ordinary man to read. The day ended in glorious fashion as the Passion Drama was vividly performed in the church of all Nations. A last drama played out by the water display to the tunes of Hallelejah and Behold He Comes Riding on a Cloud closed out a full day at the Holy Land Park. The evening ended at the World's biggest McDs and its gameroom.

Other higlights included the day at Universal Orlando Islands of Adventure Park, the day at Fun Spot and of course shopping day.
