Pastor Richard Pinder was a special gift sent from God to this earth and particularly the Bahamas. We love and miss him greatly
Pastors Richard and Sheena Pinder established the Children's Ministry in 1981 with the simple act of commencing nursery and children's care while the adults fellowship and received teachings from Dr. Myles Munroe and Dr. Richard Pinder.

Pastor Charles is the third child of seven, born in the beautiful island of Eleuthera in the settlement of TarPum Bay to a third generation Minister - Martin Leonard Nottage - and Mary Elizabeth Nottage. Besides being a Minister, Mr. Nottage was also an avid businessman operating a grocery store, a sizeable vegetable farm and operating an insurance agency business.
Charles grew up assisting his parents in the store and assisting with small building projects while being his father's church janitor. He attended the all age school in TarPum Bay where he was a budding gang leader unbeknown to his parents. In his eleventh year a group called the Visionaries led by Myles Munroe visited Eleuthera for a few concerts and stayed in his parents home. This was his first encounter with Dr. Munroe and Pastor Henry Francis. His Father and Uncle Alfred Nottage were responsible for sponsoring the group to tour Eleuthera.
Pastor Colebrooke from the New Saint Paul's Baptist Church travelled with the Group and it was he who introduced young Charles to the Lord. Pastor Colebrooke led Charles to the Lord and he brought his best friend Charlie Rolle to be led to the Lord as well. It was at this time that Charles had prayed for the Lord to remove him from his current environment so that he would serve him and not turn back to his old ways. The Lord heard his prayer and he was one of the two persons that succeeded in passing the common entrance examinations for the island and awarded full scholarships to private schools in Nassau - the capital of The Bahamas.
Charles would enter and graduate from St. John's College and commence working with Barclays Bank before meeting up with Dr. Munroe again. But in 1982 when the Lord led him to check out the newly formed ministry of BFM, their acquaintance was renewed. He had initially thought that he would go and be taught on the scriptures by Drs. Munroe and Pinder and return to his home church but the Lord had other plans. After a short stint with BFM, he was led to ask his pastor at his home church to release him to fellowship at BFM. It was not long after joining the ministry when he was appointed Director of the Children's Ministry. He along with a team of ministers would labour with children in one large room until the church's relocation to Mackey Street in 1984. In 1991, Pastor Charles was ordained as the Pastor - Ministry of Child-Care, Training & Development. It was in this same year that the adversary tried to snuff his life out with four bullets. He would battle for his life, endured several surgeries, had to learn to walk again, but God. God miraculously saved his life and gave him renewed vigor to minister to the littlest of saints in the kingdom - The Children.
The Children's Ministry under his leadership grew and several programs were introduced - Summer Camp (1985 - 2005); Family Island summer camps; Children Conference; Children Ministry Seminars; Word 500; Pizza Nights; Graduation Celebrations; New Year's Eve Explosion; Kingdom Kids Kostume Parade; and In His Presence Children's Retreats. The move to Carmicheal Road Diplomat Centre in 1992 allowed for the segregation of the children into three divisions - Primary, Intermediate and Junior Church. In 2013, there was a further refinement as Primary was split into two sessions - Primary 1 (5-6) and Primary II (7-8). In 2014, the Children's Ministry co-hosted Kidz Alive with the BFM Youth Ministry and Minister Ricardo Miller of Texas USA.
Pastor Charles has developed teaching outlines on the principles espoused by Dr. Munroe teachings and books - Leadership, Potential, The Holy Spirit, Praise and Worship, Kingdom Principles, God's Original Plan and The New Birth Concept. The Teachings are geared toward answering the five questions of the human heart - Who am I? Where am I from? Why am I here? What can I do? Where I am I going?
Pastor Charles and his team have assisted several churches in the Bahamas with establishing their children's ministries. Today BFM children's ministry minister to over 300 children, toddlers and babies each Sunday.

The entire page is a great work and also a testimony of the dedication by the leaders and all the support staff.
Looks like they had fun, wish I was able to go this year too.
